Typing vs Writing

Typing and writing are two very distinct paths for your thoughts to convert into words. Talking about my generation, which saw the shift happening between the two, both of them holds a different place to them.

A bit of history might have affected these moods/emotions that your minds turn on default. For example, I have written the majority of my exams on a piece of paper, where the answers were my personal thoughts and opinions. However, over the years when life hits, and you need to keep a diary, writing something on a piece of paper doesn’t feel safe because there’s always a chance of somebody reading it.

As the one with bad handwriting, I would always go with typing. I can’t deny the fact that writing feels more raw & personal. On the other hand, typing on a keyboard feels more professional, but over the years I have typed my thoughts instead of writing them, so it has become more personal to me. However, typing on touch screen keyboards is a different experience altogether.
